The Philadelphia Flyers and Pittsburgh Penguins played a late afternoon game on Black Friday for the NHL’s Thanksgiving Showdown 2022 game. Both teams wore their reverse retro uniforms for the contest. The Penguins took the lead and held the Flyers scoreless until midway through the third period when Kevin Hayes was able to snap Tristan Jarry’s shutout attempt.
