The visiting Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Philadelphia Flyers by a score of 3-1 during regulation. Andrei Vasilevskiy made his NHL debut making 24 saves to earn the win. Prior to the start of the game, Peter Forsberg was honored by the Flyers as he came out to drop the ceremonial puck for captains Steven Stamkos and Claude Giroux. The Flyers will host the visiting Florida Panthers on Thursday, December 18 for a 7:00 pm start. The Lightning will visit the NJ Devils on Friday, December 19 for a 7:00 pm start.
