The New York Islanders were victorious Saturday night, winning their final “Home Opener” at the Nassau Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum against the Carolina Hurricanes 4-3. With Saturday’s win, the Islanders swept their opening, back to back, “Home and Home” series against the Canes, and move to 2-0-0.
The Islanders next game will be against their rival NY Rangers on Tuesday October 14th, at Madison Square Garden.
The Carolina Hurricanes will also play their next game on Tuesday night, they will host the Buffalo Sabres at the PNC Arena.
