The New York Islanders hosted their first Blue and White Prospect Scrimmage on their new home ice, Wednesday night at Barclay’s Center, in Brooklyn, New York.
Players such as 2015 1st Round Picks Mathew Barzal and Anthony Beauvilier were in attendance, as well as Ryan Pulock, Michael Dal Colle, Joshua Ho Sang, Adam Pelech, Taylor Cammarata and Sebastian Collberg.
Prior to the Scrimmage and Skills Challenge, NY Islanders GM Garth Snow, Barclay’s Center GM Steve Rosebrook and NY Islanders Winger Anders Lee showed the media around the soon to be completed NY Islanders Player Campus located at the Barclay’s Center.
The scrimmage was a brilliant display of two talented squads and high-end offensive and defensive prospects. With the chemistry of the trio of Michael Dal Colle, Mathew Barzal and Sebastian Collberg, the Blue Team defeated the White team 5-3 in the scrimmage. Blue Team Defenseman Ryan Pulock won the Hardest Shot Competition with a 105MPH Slapshot. After the breakaway portion of the skills competition, the Blue team was the victor on the night defeating the White Team 8-3.
