Chicago Blackhawks Clinch the 2015 Stanley Cup

by | Jun 16, 2015

Good Morning Hockey Fans! The 2014-15 NHL hockey season is officially over. The Chicago Blackhawks are your 2015 Stanley Cup Champions. Already, the dynasty word is being thrown around this morning. Whether you’re a Blackhawks fan or not, winning three Stanley Cups in six years is a pretty impressive feat. Especially, during the salary-cap era.

So, what do we do with ourselves for four months until the regular season begins again?

One theme that emerged from the 2015 Stanley Cup Finals was how the Lightning shut out Jonathan Toews ( 1g-2a—3pts) and Patrick Kane (1g-2a—3pts) through six games both players combined scored a (2g-4a—6pts). For the Lightning, Steven Stamkos was virtually invisible scoring (0g-1a—1pts).

Even though the Kane (11g-12a—23pts) and Toews (10g-11a—21pts) were held in check by the Lightning during the Stanley Cup Final, they still ended as the Blackhawks leading scorers during the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Later this week, I am sure we’ll find out who was injured during the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs. So far, we’ve found out that two Lightning players played hurt during the 2015 Stanley Cup Final.  The Lightning’s Tyler Johnson had a broken wrist and Ben Bishop had a torn groin. (Puck Daddy)
