WHA Hall of Fame Contest

We’ve got a great new contest that we’re running in conjunction with the WHA Hall of Fame.

The first respondent to email the correct answers for all five questions plus the sixth bonus question wins copies of two new DVDs, The WHA Hall of Fame: Remembering the WHA and WHA Legends: Winnipeg Jets vs. Houston Aeros. And the first three respondents to email the correct answers for the five questions (but not the bonus) win a set of the WHA Hall of Fame 10-Card Collection.

Well, let’s get to it! Here are the questions:

1) Who was the first NHL player to sign with the WHA?

2) Which player is the all-time WHA scoring champion?

3) How many U.S.-born players were signed by the Minnesota Fighting Saints for the inaugural 1972-1973 WHA season?

4) Which goaltender won the WHA’s longest-ever game?

5) Which 3 players created one of the greatest offensive units in major league history, called the Winnipeg Jets’ “HotLine”?

Bonus: What was the name of the WHA Chicago Cougars mascot?

Click here to email us your answers… Good luck!
