We at Inside Hockey are very sad to announce the passing of Dennis Pause, a valued team-member and friend.
Dennis collapsed near the rink at Frozen Fenway on Saturday, about 40 minutes before the Massachusetts-Vermont game started. Fenway medical personnel attended to him and he was rushed from the field by ambulance to the hospital, but he did not survive. A moment of silence was held in honor of Dennis before the UNH-Maine game that took place later that day.
Dennis joined up with us at Inside Hockey a little over a year ago, and over that time he photographed nearly 50 AHL and NCAA games. In honor of Dennis, we’ve put together a gallery containing some of his finest photos. We hope you enjoy it. If you’d like to see more, Dennis’s full archive of photos is accessible here.
It’s hard to contemplate that Dennis is gone, and we’ll all miss him a great deal.
An additional note of thanks to Brian Babineau, who kindly shared the photo of the moment of silence honoring Dennis at Fenway Park.
