Center Marc Savard is expected to make his long-awaited return to the Bruins lineup soon. His return has been delayed because of ongoing symptoms from post-concussion syndrome.
Savard, who sustained a concussion after being hit from behind by Pittsburgh’s Matt Cooke last March, returned to the team in time for playoffs, but missed all of training camp due to severe PCS symptoms.
“I felt really good out there today, you know, got to do some power play stuff. Each day I’m progressing and I feel a lot better,” Savard stated to the press following the Bruins practice today at Ristuccia Arena.
When asked if he would possibly be back in the lineup for tomorrow’s game against the Flyers, he said “I’m not playing tomorrow. There’s still no timetable, just waiting to hear from Claude.”
However, given the Matt Hunwick trade yesterday, it could definitely be sooner rather than later.
