Red-Hot Bulldogs Look for Fifth Straight Win

The Hamilton Bulldogs are red hot of late and have finally started to put it together this season as they are on a four game win streak and have won five of their last six hockey games. The Bulldogs have struggled this season but have come together to beat arch rival the Toronto Marlies, the league leading Texas Stars, the ever popular Hershey Bears and their playoff rival Houston Areos. Are four teams are currently in a playoff position.

The wins have not come easy, three of the five wins were by one goal and the other two wins were with late goals in an empty net. The Bulldogs have won these games all by a close margin.

“The guys found a way to win,” said Bulldogs head coach Sylvain Lefebvre.

Not only have the Bulldogs found a way to win, but they have also received some help from some of the players you wouldn’t suspect, Greg Pateryn and Stefan Chaput have had a number of big goals of late and the latest surprise was Michael Bournival who came up with hat trick in their latest win.

“It’s a whole positive attitude around the locker room right now,” said Chaput of his teams recent success.

“We’re finally starting to get the reward right now along with the wins over this stretch” Chaput also added.

The Bulldogs are currently in the middle of a 10 game home stand that sees them play at home for almost a month straight. Next up are the Rochester Americans who come in to Hamilton looking to cool off the Bulldogs.
