Princeton tops in ECAC Polls

In the very first Media Day in Albany, New York, the ECAC Media Day, the Princeton Tigers are the favorite in both the Coaches and Media Poll, and with good reason. The defending ECAC Tournament Champions return 21 players from last years squad, bringing back a lot of experience.

Rounding out the top four, in order (in both polls) are Harvard, Cornell and Clarkson, respectively.

Harvard is a little shaky right now and Cornell looks like the stronger of the two through four seeds.

Other things of note include Quinnipiac and Union flip-flopping in the polls at five and six (Quinnipiac is fifth in the Media Poll and sixth in the coaches and vise versa for Union). Yale is seventh in both polls and St. Lawrence is eighth, while Dartmouth is 11th and Brown is 12th. The other flip-flop in the polls is Colgate and Rensselaer (Colgate ninth in the Coaches and 10th in the Media and vise versa for Rensselaer).

With the Round-Up of that, here is how I see things:

Rosie’s ECAC Poll:

1. Princeton
2. Cornell
3. Clarkson
4. Union
5. Harvard
6. Yale
7. Quinnipiac
8. Colgate
9. St. Lawrence
10. Dartmouth
11. Rensselaer
12. Brown

Those are my picks from the ECAC. Stay tuned we got five more conferences to go!
