Photo Gallery: Rangers @ Panthers (12/30/2011)

The New York Rangers defeated the Florida Panthers 4-1 at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida on Friday evening, December 30, 2011.  Carl Hagelin scored for the Blueshirts just 35 seconds into the 1st period to set the tone of the game.  New York scored the next 3 goals and never looked back in recording the victory.  Brad Richards and Carl Hagelin each recorded a goal and an assist as Henrik Lundqvist saved 27 of 28 shots for the win.  Panthers starting goaltender Scott Clemmenson was chased from net in the 1st period giving up 3 goals on 14 shots.  He was replaced in goal by backup Jose Theodore.  The win launched the Rangers to the top spot in the Eastern Conference.  The next game for the Rangers is the Winter Classic in Philadelphia against the Flyers on January 2, 2012.  The Panthers will look to rebound at home against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday, December 31, 2011.  (Larry Palumbo/Inside Hockey)
