With Sunday’s Coors Light Stadium Series Game between the NY Rangers and the NJ Devils fast approaching, both teams took to the ice at Yankee Stadium Saturday afternoon.
Following final preparations made to the ice surface by NHL workers, the Devils walked out of the third base dugout and then through a canyon of ice blocks that lead to the rink for practice. Devils GM Lou Lamoriello was on hand, and watched much of the practice before heading in to warm up with the rest of the team. Once the team headed inside many players changed clothing and met their families out on the ice for a family skate before going back inside once again to warm up.
In between both teams practices, “The Rockettes” dancers walked to center field and practiced their routine the performance stage as members of the NJ Devils answered media questions inside.
Later on, the Rangers took to the field with temperatures dropping, snow coming down and nightfall approaching. The team posed for photos in the dugout, before walking to the ice. The Rangers then held a practice and then brought out their members for a family skate under the lights at Yankee Stadium.
