• Carolina won the season series, 3-1-0. New York’s win tonight snapped their six-game losing streak against the Hurricanes.
• The Islanders’ four goals in the first period equal the most Carolina has allowed in any period this season.
• Riley Nash played in his 100th NHL/Hurricanes game and won a career-high 13 faceoffs.
• Loktionov (1g, 1a) earned his second multi-point game in his last four contests. He tallied the game-winning goal and added an
assist on March 18 at Columbus, his first points as a member of the Hurricanes.
• Skinner now leads the team in goals (27) and power-play goals (10). Entering tonight, he ranked tied for 13th in the NHL in
power-play goals.
• Semin now owns 12 points (7g, 5a) in his last 12 games. Through games of March 24, only Gustav Nyquist (DET – 18) scored more
goals than Semin (15) since January 18.
