On Saturday night, the Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins opened up their 13th season with a 3-2 loss to division rival Hershey. Hershey opened up the scoring with Kyle Greentree at the 11:27 mark. The Penguins tied the score four minutes later on Brian Gibbons short-handed breakaway. Matt Ford gave Hershey the lead just 27 seconds later. The Penguins Niko Dimitrakos tied the score with a power play goal early in the third period, but Hershey’s Keith Aucoin scored the game-winner on the power play.
