Today, Henrik Lundqvist, star goaltender of the New York Rangers, was the first athlete honored by Gray Line New York as a part of its “Ride of Fame” bus dedication campaign.
The goaltender was awarded this honor for being an exemplary New Yorker and was given his very own red double-decker bus, upon which a photo of Lundqvist will permanently grace the front for all fans to see. A ribbon cutting ceremony with Lundqvist took place today in front of Madison Square Garden, followed by the inaugural ride on the bus with eagerly-awaiting fans.
“I’d like to thank Gray Line New York for their support of the Rangers and particularly their continued support of the Garden of Dreams Foundation,” Lundqvist said. “The kids always look forward to the tours of the city, sitting on the upper deck. Being able to now do them on a bus featuring myself and the Rangers is a great honor.”
