The NHL officially released its 2010-11 regular season schedule this
afternoon. The New York Islanders open at home on Saturday, October 9
against the Dallas Stars at the Nassau Coliseum. Game time is 7 PM.
The Islanders biggest rivals, the New York Rangers will be at the Nassau Coliseum three times including a Columbus Day matinee on October 11 at 1 PM. The Broadway Blues will also be in town on December 2 and March 31.
Both Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin will make multiple appearances at the Coliseum this season. The Penguins come to Long Island December 29, February 11 and for the final regular season home game on April 8, while the Washington Capitals, winners of the President’s Trophy this past season, will visit on January 20 and February 26.

Single game tickets will go on sale on August 12 at the Coliseum Box Office and at newyorkislanders.com.

The Islanders will hold their annual draft party this Friday night at the Nassau Coliseum. Tickets are available at newyorkislanders.com and are free but there is a limit of eight tickets per customer. Doors will open at 5:30 with the 2010 NHL Entry Draft starting at 7 PM ET. John Tavares, Matt Mouslon and Trevor Gillies will be among those in attendance.
The Islanders will hold their Blue-Orange Prospects Scrimmage on Saturday, July 10 at 7 PM at the Nassau Coliseum. Tickest are on sale at the Isles Web site at $10 each. All proceeds will benefit the Islanders Childrens’ Fund. Warmups will begin at 6:30, followed by the Blue Orange Scrimmage at 7 PM. A skills competition will immediately follow the scrimmage.
