Islanders lose momentum against Bruins

Bridgeport, Conneticut – 10/1/11 The New York Islanders and Boston Bruins met for their last preseason game in the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Conneticut.  The confrontation was very physical and ultimately came down to a game of momentum.  The Islanders came out swinging in the first with a power play goal by John Tavares to put the Islanders on the Board at 11:28 in thefirst period, then Marty Reasoner followed with his first goal of the preseason at 6.48 of the second period.  The Islanders had command of the game at that point, thanks to a strong performance by the defense and Goaltender Al Montoya.  Midway through the second period Islanders Head Coach Jack Capuano made the change at goaltender for Evgeni Nabokov.  At that point the Bruins seemed to wake up.  They answered the Islanders strong first period with 16 shots on goal with two of them scoring.  The two goals scored by David Krejci and Tyler Seguin in the second period seemed to propel the Bruins throughout the second period and onto the third period where Denis Seidenberg scored their final and game winning goal.
