The Hershey Bears hockey club announced on Wednesday that forward Maxime Lacroix has been recalled from the South Carolina Stingrays of the East Coast Hockey League. Lacroix will be available for tonight’s road game against the Norfolk Admirals.
Lacroix has played 19 games for the Bears this year, posting two assists along with eight penalty minutes on the season. This is his first game with the Bears since December 16th.
Lacroix played 27 games for Hershey last season, netting career highs with 6 goals, 10 assists and 16 points. Maxime Lacroix was originally drafted by the Washington Capitals in the 2006 National Hockey League entry draft with the 127th overall pick.
Lacroix has had playoff experience with the Stingrays, helping them win the 2009 Kelly Championship. Lacroix led the team in goals during the playoff run with 13 goals in 23 contests. Expect Lacroix to be a part of the third or fourth line for a short stint with the Bears.
