Northeastern University used some late game heroics to sneak their way past the University of Maine in the second game of the weekend set on Saturday night at Alfond Arena.

Love was in the air at the University of Maine on Friday as players, coaches, and fans prepared for the first regular season game of the year at the Alfond Arena. Unfortunately there was a well prepared Northeastern team in town looking to burst the Black Bear’s bubble.

The leaves are changing in Orono, which can only mean one thing; it’s time for another historic season of Maine Black Bear hockey. The Black Bears are looking for a turnaround season in 2008, and Sean Sullivan is here to break it all down.
