  • Graham Mink Interview

    The Syracuse Crunch announced today that Karl Goehring has been named an assistant coach after retiring after eight seasons as a pro.

  • Bears Name French Head Coach

    The Hershey Bears announced today that Mark French has been named head coach. French takes over for Bob Woods, who was promoted to be an assistant coach with the Washington Capitals last month.

  • AHL Announces Re-alignment

    The American Hockey League announced a re-alignment of its divisions today. One thing to notice is the addition of the Adirondack Phantoms and Texas Stars, and the removal of the Iowa Chops from play. A total of 29 teams will compete next season.

    Alexandre Giroux broke several records this past season with the Hershey Bears. First, he broke Brett Hull's 22-year old record for consecutive games with a goal; then he broke Hershey's single season record for goals in a season with 60.

    The Washington Capitals sent minor league defenseman Sami Lepisto to the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday for a future draft pick. The Los Angeles Kings sent forward Brian Boyle to the N.Y. Rangers for a future draft pick.

    After 19 seasons in the NHL, Sergei Fedorov appears to be calling it quits and heading back home to play in Russia. Several reports out of Russia claim that Fedorov has signed a two year contract at $3.8 million per season.
