Caps Return Three Players To Hershey

The Washington Capitals announced on Tuesday the club has assigned goalie, Braden Holtby and forwards Joel Rechlicz and ahl leading scorer Keith Aucoin to their minor league affilate the Hershey Bears after a short stay in Washington.

Goaltender Braden Holtby made his season debut last night for Washington against the San Jose Sharks, making 30 saves in a 5-3 loss. Holtby was the Capitals fourth round draft pick in the 2008 National Hockey League entry draft.

Rechlicz has only appeared in three games for the Capitals this year, totaling a minisclue ten minutes of ice time. Rechlicz has appeared in 29 games for the Hershey Bears, totaling 198 penalty minutes.

Aucoin returns after playing in five games with the Capitals, but only mustering three shots on goal. He leads the American Hockey League with 70 points, the fourth time he has reached that number with the Hershey Bears.

Hershey next hits the ice Friday night in Providence to faceoff against the Bruins, the start of a grueling five game road swing.
