Bears’ Rechlicz and Kane Suspended

The American Hockey League announced suspensions to two players of the Hershey Bears, the minor league affiliate for the Washington Capitals.

Hershey Bears captain Boyd Kane has been suspended for three games, the result of a boarding call in last Saturday’s game against the Worcester Sharks. Kane will miss Hershey’s next three games all on the road versus Providence, Manchester and Bridgeport.

Bears forward Joel Rechlicz who just returned from his brief stint with the Washington Capitals has been suspended one game for a cross-checking incident that occured in the Worcester game on February 11th, the same game Boyd Kane was called for a boarding penalty he was supsended three games for.

Rechlicz will miss the road game against Providence this Friday, February 17th.

Expect forward, D.J. King to gain a spot in the starting lineup enforcer Joel Rechlicz out of the lineup.
