The AHL released its 2009-10 schedule today.
Here are some key games during the season:
10/2 – The Texas Stars play their first game in franchise history and first game of the AHL season against the San Antonio Rampage in San Antonio.
10/3 – The Adirondack Phantoms host the Worcester Sharks in their first franchise game.
10/3 – The Hershey Bears begin their title defense against the Norfolk Admirals at home. The Bears will also raise their 10th Calder Cup banner this night.
10/9 – The Abbotsford Heat will host the Rampage in their first game in franchise history.
11/6 – Binghamton and Hamilton will play a regular season game in Montreal.
11/8 – Hamilton and Binghamton will play a regular season game in Ottawa.
11/12 – Rochester and Portland will play a regular season game in Buffalo.
1/1 – Bridgeport at Providence, Hershey at W-B/Scranton, Houston at Milwaukee, and Abbotsford at San Antonio will highlight a full slate of action on New Year’s Day.
1/6 – Hartford and Lowell will play a regular season game in New Jersey.
1/8 – The Hershey Bears and Manitoba Moose will faceoff in a rematch from the 2009 Calder Cup finals. The Bears and Moose will play back-to-back games in Manitoba.
1/18 – AHL All-Star Skills Competition in Portland.
1/19 – AHL All-Star Game in Portland.
2/3 – Hartford and Lowell will play a regular season game in New Jersey.
2/21 – Adirondack and Hamilton will play a regular season game in Montreal.
3/7 – Rochester and Portland will play a regular season game in Buffalo.
4/11 – Grand Rapids at Milwaukee will close out the 2009-10 season.
